Why did I name my company Bee Sharp?
This name came to me when I was about 12 years old.
who I am
It happened one morning. My dad was heading out the door for work dressed in his usual suit and tie while I was finishing up my breakfast cereal at our kitchen table. On his way out the door he quoted to me the Gillette slogan from 1952, “Look sharp. Feel sharp. Be sharp.”
At the time, I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with that idea. But- it stuck.
A far cry from a razor company who in the 50’s used a Parrot named Sharpie to do its advertising, Bee Sharp was built and remains true of the basic tenants of being “sharp” in your work and play. However, we do it from the inside out. We believe that personal growth and professional development work together to make a person- well, sharp.
what We do
Like all companies we’ve grown in our mission and definition. We’ve tweaked ourselves along the way. In the early days, our motto was “train sharp, teach sharp, bee sharp.” But our progression and growth as a company has given us our own footing and sharpened our mission.
Alas, as we move into the embodiment of our 21st century mission, our foundation and history is solidly built on the wise advice given from father to daughter to “look sharp, feel sharp, be sharp.”

Wynn
Wynn Godbold is an author and independent certified John Maxwell Leadership trainer, speaker and thinking partner. She started her company, Bee Sharp, in 2004 and began doing education training on the east coast. From 2011-2016 Wynn found herself crisscrossing America several times a month as demands for her services grew. While this life seemed exciting, on the inside Wynn was growing a desire to serve the people of her home town. She began to ask the question, “Why spend all this time on the road and in the air when I could be changing lives in my own backyard?”
In response to this yearning to make a difference at home, she was given a vision for developing the Grand Strand into the world’s first transformation destination.
Wynn has been a resident of the Grand Strand since her graduation from Winthrop College in 1990. She thought she was coming to the beach for a summer before starting her career. After marrying a “local,” Rett, and raising two boys in Myrtle Beach, Matthew and Cooper, she declares there is no other place for her to call home. Wynn loves the people of the Grand Strand and feels blessed to live in such a vibrant community which welcomes 17 million visitors each year.

Wynn was so great to work with and she took our event’s theme and built her entire presentation around it! I thoroughly enjoyed The Success Summit. Wynn has such a great presence and really speaks to you as an individual rather than a large group.
